Prior to starting her legal career in Canada, Jessy had worked as a lawyer in Hong Kong.
Jessy’s primary focus is estate and trust practice. Jessy’s clients include high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs and professionals. Jessy provides practical and personalized advice aligning with clients’ short and long-term estate-planning objectives. Jessy regularly prepares pertinent documents for estate planning, such as wills, trusts, and power of attorney. She also handles corporate reorganizations and estate transactions related to property such as family and estate transfers, survivorship, and transmission applications.
With her previous work experience in Hong Kong and full understanding of the culture, Jessy is able to provide effective estate planning advice and strategy to both Canadians (non tax-residents) returning from Hong Kong and new immigrants.
Jessy is also heavily involved in commercial real estate practice including the acquisition, disposition, and financing of commercial real properties. Jessy drafts and negotiates a wide range of real estate contracts, such as agreements of purchase and sale, loan and security documents.
Jessy also handles corporate and commercial work, such as incorporation, structuring and organization of companies. Jessy regularly prepares corporate documents including shareholders agreement, joint venture agreement and limited partnership agreement.
