Katherine Lam was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019. She then worked at Hum Law Firm, a boutique employment law firm in Toronto, for almost 2 years. Apart from handling disputes in employment law and related human rights issues, she also practiced in civil litigation in Small Claims Court, Superior Court of Ontario and the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal.
Katherine Lam is also a solicitor in Hong Kong with eighteen years of experience focusing on civil litigation, involving commercial disputes, banking litigation, employees’ compensation cases and personal injuries claims. She has experience in dealing with all kinds of family law cases in Hong Kong including divorce petitions, applications for ancillary relief for spousal and child support, enforcement of ancillary relief, etc. Katherine also handled commercial contracts, real estate transactions, will drafting and estate administration. Katherine still holds a current practising certificate of solicitor in Hong Kong, and remains a consultant at Simon Si & Co, where she was previously a partner. Katherine’s ability to practice in both Canadian and Hong Kong jurisdictions gives her a unique position to serve clients with ties in both Canada and Hong Kong.
